Wreaths across America - Nationally
Each December, WAA remembers and honors military veterans by coordinating wreath-laying ceremonies at Arlington National Cemetery, as well as at more than 4,600 (2024 count) local cemeteries in all 50 U.S. states, at sea and abroad.
Wreaths across America - Locally
The Black Rock Community sponsors two Windsor cemeteries, Edgewood and Hillcrest. In 2021, Sharon Rome became the Windsor event coordinator after Len Joyner stepped down. Len started the Windsor event in 2011. The community has done a great job supporting & growing this event. Black Rock added Hillcrest Cemetery in 2021 and has expanded grave coverage and attendance. A sponsor is responsible for local event fund raising, promotions, and logistics, each year. We are proud and thankful for the community support that has allowed us to improve this event.

Become a supporter of the program
Our goal is to cover 535 veteran plots (increases annually) every year. Our group number & name is NC00349 Black Rock Community. One wreath cost $17. Only wreaths ordered at our group page receive a third free wreath for every two wreaths sponsored. Donations are primarily done in October and November each year; however, wreaths can be purchased throughout the year at our community web page. Wreaths bought above annual need are carried over to the next year.
