The Good Shepherd Food Pantry fights hunger and poverty in Bertie County. They serve 8,000 households annually who are food insecure.
The Black Rock Community Program
Community Efforts
The Black Rock community collects member donations & delivers them each December the week before Christmas. We carry all checks to the pantry as one gift from our community. If you prefer to donate directly just let us know your donation and we will note your gift with our community check delivery. Initially our members donated food. In 2022 upon learning the pantry can buy at better prices than an individual, we switched to cash donations. We started the Black Rock drive in 2019.
